The Howden Way Youth Talent Academy Riders truly rose to the occasion at the final Young Rider and Junior Trials for the upcoming European Championships, held at Burgham International Horse Trials this weekend.

The event served as the ultimate test for these rising stars — and they did not disappoint when they dominated the CCI3*-S field, claiming an astonishing top eight places out of more than eighty competitors with them all jumping double clear rounds!

Elizabeth Barratt and Big Boss Melo led the charge, taking the win in a fiercely contested section whilst Jemima Howden aboard Van Kaunitz finished 2nd staying on their impressive dressage score. Finn Healey and Greannanstown Monbeg Joe secured third, narrowly missing out on silver by just 0.5 penalties whilst 4th place went to Isabelle Cook and Mexican Law. Josh Levett took both 5th and 9th place with This Ones On You and Huberthus AC respectively whilst Anya Stilkowski and K took 6th and Elizabeth Barratt with Chaman Dumontceau 7th.

Not to be outdone, the Junior Talent Academy Riders also posted brilliant performances in the CCI2*-S.  Jago Jackson and Barrington Highlight K finished on their dressage score of 28.5 — just 0.2 penalties behind the winner to claim 2nd place whilst Lucy Standish took 3rd with Mr Cookie Time in addition to taking 6th aboard Global H.  Coco Lanni rounded out the top 10 with a strong performance on Porsche.
