Each annual cohort of riders accept their place within the Academy based on them reaching the required age group performance criteria in the previous season. In addition to the education and support the riders receive on the programme is the opportunity to learn from other more senior rider on the programme and the networking benefits it can bring them.
Tier 1 - Open to athletes aged 21 - 28 who are not on any other funded programme at the point of selection. It is aimed to support those who are transitioning out of Young Riders and capable of achieving a Nations Cup selection. Eligible combinations will be competing at 4* and perhaps aiming for their first 5* and/or looking to compete in the U25 Championship at Bramham International.
Tier 2 - For athletes aged 12 - 21 who are achieving success at the relevant age groups standard. This tier combinations aiming for success at the European Championships for Ponies, Juniors and Young Riders within the current year
Tier 3 - For athletes aged 12 – 21 this tier aims to support youth riders transitioning out of age groups along with Pony, Junior and Young Rider combinations who are aiming for European Championships in the current and forthcoming year(s)
